Inevitably, questions will come up while we’re working together. Here, you can search for answers to common question. If we don’t answer your question below, email or call. Your concern is important to us.

Buying

Of course! Being in the design industry, we believe we’re stronger together. Contact us to collaborate on your next project or just to get more information on how we can help you.

Although we specialize in custom tables, we love handling other specialty wood or metal pieces, whether residential or commercial. Please fill out our contact form to get started, and we’ll discuss how we can help!

Of course! Visit our custom surfaces page to submit a photo through our custom quote form, or give us a call to tell us more. We’re happy to help create a collection from a style of furniture you already love.

Each order includes a 3D rendering (model), shop drawings, wood/finish samples, and any other explanations, necessary prior to any production beginning.

Sooner is always best! If your order is received well before our proposed lead time, this allows you to book a production time slot with us so your project deadline won’t risk being pushed back due to a lack of space in our schedule when you’re ready to go!

You can order by starting a quote, by contacting us on our website, or reaching out directly to (616)294-8023.

Our invoices can be paid by cash, bank transfer, or check made out to Sprik Custom Woodworks. Your invoice will specify what payment method we prefer, if any.

Check or payment can be mailed to:

Sprik Custom Woodworks
3099 80th Ave, Suite 210
Zeeland, MI 49464

We will invoice you after your final sign-off on the finished product, just before it is prepared for delivery. We appreciate payment before the product is shipped or picked up.

The delivery time for drawings and material samples highly varies based on the size of the job, where it’s going, and how quickly you respond to my questions. Please refer to the quote of work we provided you for your project. Keep in mind, it is very important to be ready to review our drawings and samples: A delay in response or a change to your order can impact the production schedule.

Sure can. For example: For nightstands, we can build in an outlet for your bedside lamp and USB ports to charge your devices at night. We also have the expertise to build a “hidden” charging station into your surface which works great for conference tables, office tables, and nightstands.

Production

We proudly manufacture all of our products in Zeeland, Michigan. Our shop is where the buying, production, and delivery processes all happen. We believe custom designs are best communicated and crafted in-house.

We source our wood from several reliable hardwood and steel suppliers across the U.S.

The excitement and anticipation really start to build up after renderings, drawings, photos, and material conversations are signed off on and moved into production! We aim to please in both quality and timeliness, so the timeline is a little different for each order. Our lead time is on your proposal and we take our deadlines seriously. If there happen to be problems beyond our control, we are quick about getting in touch with you. Otherwise, your order will be completed by the date promised on your proposal.

We usually use a natural oil finish, conversion varnish, or catalyzed urethane. We are happy to accommodate if you’re interested in using an alternative finish!

All our bases can be constructed in a way that can hide wires for pop-up grommets. Call or email us today to find out more!

Delivery

Each piece of furniture is wrapped and crated for shipment. We offer drop-off LTL shipping, and white glove installation. You may also pick the furniture up yourself. If you’re within a 30 mile radius of our shop, we will deliver and install the furniture for you.

Yes, often clients make a change in the white glove or drop off only choice, just contact us.

Yes, all of our shipments are fully insured. However, it is the buyer’s responsibility to report all damage immediately if any occurs during transportation.

Absolutely. If you have the means to do your own order pick-up, we will still package it for safe travel, but schedule a pick-up day with you rather than arrange for shipping it or delivering it ourselves.

care

It’s up to you! We connect you to a white glove install team unless you specify you’d like to handle the installation yourself. We review these options before committing to an order

Even after a tree has fallen, it maintains its organic behavior and flexes with the changing seasons. Wood shrinks and swells in response to the humidity of the air. This is part of the challenge of working with this beautiful material, but is also part of the quality of a Sprik-made piece: We know what to do! We only use reliable certified hardwood retailers. so all the wood we buy is properly kiln-dried to below 10% humidity.

All wood moves with seasonal changes, but we construct our tables in such a way that allows room for the expansion and contraction of wood, reducing the risk of warping, cupping, or cracking. We encourage you to keep the hardwood products in a controlled environment 55º – 85ºF and 30-50% humidity to minimize this movement.

Please see our care guide in the resources tab.
